Tina Marie Ferguson
Teena Maree ARTTina Ferguson, a multidisciplinary artist and educator, was raised in the Twin Cities suburbs as the eldest of a large Italian family. Encouraged by her artistic mother and entrepreneurial father, she developed a love for both creative exploration and practical craftsmanship early in life. She earned her Master’s in Architecture from Arizona State University in 2000, later spending 15 years designing homes that reflected light, harmony, and emotion. In recent years, Tina has specialized in fused glass, stained glass, and ceramic-metal fusion, using fire, texture, and transparency to tell emotionally rich stories. Her process-heavy, layered approach allows her to express deep themes of loss, transformation, and remembrance. Her commissioned memorial works, seen at www.DaddysAshes.com, and her symbolic mixed media line Salvaged Souls, reflect her evolving personal journey. This past year has been one of profound personal transformation and grief. Tina has navigated a complex wave of sorrow, responsibility, and emotional exhaustion after the sudden loss of her father. During this time, creating art—especially her new commissioned fused glass work—became a lifeline. With little energy left for teaching or running her nonprofit, HeARTsy, art was a quiet form of survival, a path forward. Now, Tina is in a transformative stage of her life and career where pushing her art to the next level is essential to finding renewed joy and purpose. She continues to explore memory, healing, and celebration through glass, sculpture, and storytelling—seeking connection, beauty, and truth in every piece. As a teaching artist, Tina believes that the best learning happens through joyful experimentation, process-based exploration, and emotional authenticity. Her classes are designed to be inclusive, hands-on, and empowering—encouraging each student to develop their voice through play, technique, and heart.
